It was an exciting day on Sunday, May 4, 2014 as Cass Road Baptist Church installed new pastor Rev. Ruby Radford in a special installation service. Dignitaries and pastors from across the region joined in this celebration.

Cass Road Baptist Deacon Richard Taylor acted as the "Master of Ceremonies" as he presided over the wonderful afternoon. Deacon Ersel Marsh presented the Invocation and a laying on of hands. The service featured music from a combined Installation Choir featuring members of Cass Road and Third Baptist along with the Women of Genesis ensemble and soloist Annette McGorty. Maumee Mayor Richard Carr joined in the greetings. Rev. Lee Williams (Chaplain/Pastor with St. Luke's Hospital), Rev. James Willis (Moderator of TAABA and Pastor of St. Paul's), Rev. Art Battle (Gethsemane Descipleship Church), Rev. Ben Green (Church of the New Covenant) provided additional greetings.

The Installation Message was presented by Rev. Dr. Langston Bannister. Rev. Radford's grandchildren Reanna, Ciara and Chris provided a reading of a special poem written by their grandmother. Regional minister Rev. Jane Gibbons installed Rev. Radford. A declaration of the charge was presented by Cass Road Search Committee Chair Homer Shank along with Deacon Chair Kathy MOran. Rev. Truett Fogel closed with our benediction. Then, as all good Baptists do, we celebrated with a potluck. An amazing day celebrating the service and dedication of Rev. Ruby Radford.
