Rev. James Willis Honored for 10 Years of Service at St. Paul

TAABA joins with St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church (1502 North Detroit Avenue, Toledo) honoring our current TAABA Moderator, Rev. James Willis, for ten years of faithful service along with First Lady Linnie B. Willis. Pastor Willis is a servant of the Servant, dedicated to God's ministry not only at St. Paul but through our association, the state and the country. He truly answered the call of God and said, "Here am I, send me!" This was the theme for a wonderful day of activities based on Isaiah 2:8 on October 20, 2013. The day began with a praise celebration at the morning worship service. A second service was held that afternoon to recognize Pastor and First Lady Willis. TAABA celebrates with St. Paul's in this wondrous time of honor for a family committed to God in faithful service!

TAABA 2013 Picnic Report

On Sunday June 9, 2013 we held our Annual TAABA Picnic. The Toledo Area American Baptist Association was blessed to have favorable weather that helped to add to the program. We were again blessed to have Rev. Jane Gibbons in attendance as our special guest this year. This is always a highlight and a special time when she is able to share with us. Special thanks go out to the TAABA Picnic Committee for a job well done. Deacon General Bobbitt, Deacon James Sebree, Sister Shirley Sebree and Sister Deborah Gardner did and outstanding job as being the host. We had a total of 103 members who attended the annual picnic. Each year we look forward to the excitement of the  gathering, but we also look forward to finding out which Congregation brought to largest number. And this year, the winner is... (drum roll) St. Paul Baptist Church. God is good and we can't wait for the next TAABA event! Thanks to all of our participating churches for your continued support in working to make TAABA the Association that it should be!  Enjoy a video of the day's events:
